Tapestry

This is a copy of an old tapestry painted on canvas. I recreated the weave of the tapestry using small strokes of the brush. When I cut it from the canvas I made an uneven edge to give the appearance of fabric that has been streched over time. The walls are painted as dressed limestone. The rod and the shadow, the niche and statue are also painted.
